If you’ve worked in a data center in the northeastern United States at any time in the last 35-40 years, there’s a good chance that you already know Vital Records, Inc. (VRI).

VRI is in the tape vaulting business. We store, manage and protect more than 6 million tapes for 2,000 clients in the New York/New Jersey/Delaware/Connecticut/Pennsylvania area.

We operate 2 underground high security facilities that each feature an extraordinary level of physical security. The Flagtown, NJ building is the original VRI facility. Our Roxbury, NJ facility (opened in 1995) is the largest dedicated tape vaulting facility in the United States.

Both were originally built by AT&T to safeguard the nation’s government, residential and military communications infrastructure. Now, they safeguard the corporate assets for many of the world’s largest companies.

VRI’s facilities are staffed with VRI personnel at all times, 24 x 7 x 365. All customer service is local and immediate. All transportation is done by VRI Couriers driving VRI vehicles. Virtually nothing is outsourced.

Founded in 1980, VRI continues to service the northeastern United States. Many clients have been with us for 25 years or more.
