Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA) is a non-profit trade association founded in 1907, noted as the oldest petroleum trade organization in the United States. It represents companies that account for the bulk of petroleum exploration, production, refining, transportation and marketing across five western states: Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. The organization is headquartered in Sacramento, California, with additional offices in Torrance, the Bay Area, Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Olympia, Washington. Its work focuses on preserving reliable access to petroleum and related products through policies deemed socially, economically and environmentally responsible, and it emphasizes disseminating accurate information while providing a forum for dialogue among government leaders, the media and the public.
