Willoughby Engineering is the continuing collaboration of a team of specialists who initially worked together at one of the world’s top integrated AE firms, engaging in some of the most prominent buildings and masterplanning projects around the globe. With these experiences under their belt, the team migrated to one of the largest engineering firms in the world, where they quickly became the lead global building systems and sustainability team. The desire to pair their unique high-end design expertise and technical capability with a more personal level of service and client-focused approach led the group to brand the newly-formed Willoughby Engineering. Willoughby Engineering has tasked itself with creating a new paradigm of quality when it comes to building engineering and high-performance design. The firm’s progressive approach utilizes an integrated design palette, including MEP/FP, sustainability, building physics, and masterplan engineering, that is brought to bear as early as the conceptual stage of projects, so that it can inform the architectural vision through an ethos of high-performance. By challenging conventional wisdom and the ideas of traditionally siloed architecture and engineering design, Willoughby Engineering blurs the line between these two disciplines, working collaboratively with architects and design teams to best produce truly integrated and high-performance buildings.
