Each sign frame consists of four main component parts that can be assembled into multiple custom sizes, including oversized signs, while avoiding higher shipping costs by fitting into regular size boxes. In the sign business, there’s a common problem when wind and sun damage destroys the larger outdoor signs of commercial customers, like the popular pole pocket banners that attach to light poles. These double-sided banners are difficult to read because of the way they hang - and the wind pressure and heat from the sun stretches them out and limits how long they last. But now, Windigo Signs (www.windigosigns.com) has solved that problem by introducing a new line of outdoor sign frames with its patent pending wind release technology and sign component system. The company offers seven different designs, including its signature light pole signs and portable sidewalk signs, along with wall signs, roadside signs, real estate signs, floor stands and ceiling signs. The Windigo Signs consist of four main component parts made of lightweight plastic: a corner piece, a straight piece, the large sign base, and the hinge. The key design feature on the hinge is a 30-degree flex point that allows for the release of wind pressure, even for over-sized signs. The part is designed to fit on any sized light pole.
