The Wm. Blanchard Co. has been an accomplished builder of institutional facilities in northern New Jersey for more than 150 years. Having been in business continuously since 1860, the firm is in its sixth generation of family ownership and active management. This extraordinary heritage speaks to the quality of work, commitment, dedication to the client’s interests that has resulted in an exceptionally high incidence of repeat work from satisfied owners. Isaac Blanchard started our firm building brick baking ovens in Newark, New Jersey, and carved out a solid reputation that allowed him to branch out into other aspects of general construction. Following generations of the Blanchard Family expanded our presence in northern New Jersey commercial and industrial construction marketplace by successfully completing such projects as breweries, churches, banks, department stores, warehouses, industrial plants and high-rise office towers. Today, institutional and hospital construction makes up 95% of our volume. This has enabled us to become thoroughly familiar with the appropriate local labor, subcontractors, and suppliers needed for the successful completion of our work. Our project management and field staff are highly attuned to the requirements of working in sensitive environments. We routinely plan construction activity around high-priority issues such as: uninterrupted systems operations; maintaining traffic flow and preserving on-site parking; proper separation of construction from Owner operations; jobsite safety; phasing; and many others. Presently, Blanchard is comprised of approximately (74) employees. Beyond project management and field supervision, we also have in-house capabilities to perform miscellaneous carpentry, masonry, and demolition trade work as well.
