Mentored by coffee legends Alfred Peet and Sal Bonavita (the founder and former owner of Peet’s Coffee & Tea), Rick mastered the art of traditional roasting. His refined senses of taste, smell, and touch shaped Wolf’s signature blends, crafted in small batches under 100 pounds to preserve their unique character.

In 2018, after nearly three decades at the helm, Rick passed the torch to Nick Castelli. With a background in tech, a lifelong passion for culinary craft, and a commitment to quality, Nick brings fresh energy and operational focus to the business. Under his leadership, Wolf Coffee continues to honor its rich legacy while embracing innovation—introducing new offerings, evolving with the micro-roasting movement, and staying relentlessly focused on the customer experience.
