The Worker Rights Consortium (WRC) is an independent labor rights monitoring organization focused on investigating working conditions in factories worldwide. It documents and challenges sweatshop practices, highlights abusive labor practices by global brands and retailers, and supports workers in factories producing apparel and other goods bearing university logos. With investigations centered on workers and factory reports published for major brands, the WRC aims to drive improvements in workplace rights and conditions through accountability and collective action. Founded in 2000 and based in Washington, D.C., the organization operates with investigators in multiple countries and collaborates with civil society groups across Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa to address systemic issues in global supply chains.
