World Medical Relief is a nonprofit organization active in the hospitals and health care sector, headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. It redistributes surplus medical resources to people in need, coordinating local, national, and international efforts to connect donated supplies with communities and facilities that can utilize them. As a small to mid-sized organization, it works with partner institutions to facilitate the flow of medical resources to underserved settings. In 2022, World Medical Relief partnered with the United Macedonian Diaspora and Dattilio Medical Mission to cover container handling and international shipping costs for supplies sent from Michigan to Macedonia. Its collaborations have included the University of Michigan and the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, illustrating its role as a conduit for resource redistribution within the health care ecosystem.
