WTVI PBS Charlotte is a nonprofit broadcast service providing noncommercial, educational programming across multiple channels and digital platforms in the Charlotte region. Its programming spans children’s content, documentaries, local public service programming, and performances, reflecting an emphasis on education and culture. The station serves a 13-county area in North and South Carolina through three broadcast channels—WTVI-HD, Create, and MHz Worldview—plus a cable educational channel and online services. 

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, the station began broadcasting in 1965 and has seen a sequence of license transitions: initially licensed to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the license moved to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Broadcasting Authority in 1981, and in July 2012 the license was transferred to Central Piedmont Community College. It operates as Charlotte's PBS service, delivering education, culture, and citizenship across electronic media to serve the public interest and support the mission of CPCC. As a small- to mid-sized organization, it is positioned within the broadcast media production and distribution industry to serve a regional audience.
