Wynstone is a Jack Nicklaus Golf Course Community that combines natural surroundings with man made architecture in a setting of unparalleled beauty and impressive design. Developed in 1987, Wynstone has matured into one of the most scenic communities in Northwestern Illinois. The Wynstone community is located in the Village of North Barrington on 750 acres. The golf course and natural water features comprise 240 acres. There are 437 homesites within Wynstone consisting of 327 estate homes, 80 maintenance free homes and 8 Golf Villas. Twenty Two vacant lots remain. The community is served by both Ela and Cuba Township and Barrington and Lake Zurich school districts. Wynstone is managed by the Wynstone Property Owners’ Association (WPOA) a Not-for Profit Corporation managed and operated by a Board of Directors and staff. Wynstone is governed by their Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, and the Architectural Review Guidelines. These documents ensure the community is maintained in the highest regard. Wynstone is a self sufficient community. The private roads, water treatment plant and common areas are maintained by a professional on-site staff. The staff of the POA provides the highest level of service to maintain the beautiful attributes of the community. The Wynstone Public Safety Department provides twenty four hour security to our gated community. The Public Safety personnel are trained to provide first response for health and safety purposes. The Department also provides traffic control and gate access. Wynstone features the ABDi Gate Access System which offers residents the ability to manage their guests via a smart phone or electronic device, and receive text messages upon guest entry. Wynstone is located on Route 12, 6 miles north of Route 22 or 3 miles south of Rt. 176.
