The YMCA of the Northern Sky is a not-for-profit community service organization dedicated to enhancing the spirit, mind and body of all persons through quality leadership, programs, services and facilities. The YMCA of the Northern Sky is a unified organization formed by the merger of YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties and Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA. The name "YMCA of the Northern Sky" was chosen to invoke a welcoming and expansive atmosphere, suggesting an open space where everyone can find a place, further connecting to the concept of the Y being for all. At the Y, strengthening our community is our cause. Each day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We focus our work in three key areas that are fundamental to strengthening community: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
