Established in 1850, the YMCA of South Australia is one of Australia's oldest and most respected community organisations. As a community based organisation, we work collaboratively with government, non-profit groups and partners to provide a range of programs and services to build strong people, strong families and strong communities. Attracting more than 2 million participants annually, we provide services to the community from over 15 locations across the state. The YMCA of South Australia is a not for profit organisation governed by an elected Board of Directors who, in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer, establish strategic directions, but delegate operation control through a professional management team.
