ZED Connect was founded as standalone technology startup in 2016 and backed by Cummins Inc. The two core products were the Voyager smartphone-based Electronic Driver Log app that collected vehicle operational data and the Titan platform that actioned that data into customer-facing insights. 

The Titan platform provided a multi-tenant analytics environment where partner-companies could store and analyze their own proprietary equipment operational data. The insights generated by these partners were delivered to fleet customers through unified (all makes/all models) platform applications that aggregated partner insights relating to equipment uptime, performance optimization, operation, and maintenance.

In 2018, the Voyager Electronic Driver Log product was discontinued and the Titan platform and related IP was rolled into Cummins Inc. and evolved into features relating to customer-facing prognostics and portable edge IoT telematics software.
