Air Austral is a France-based airline operating direct services from Réunion to Indian Ocean islands, including the Comoros, Madagascar (three cities), Mauritius, Mayotte, and the Seychelles, and it runs a Mayotte-based subsidiary, EWA, expanding Madagascar-related connections to Diego Suárez, Mahajunga, and Anjouan in the Comoros. The airline serves Asia, India, Africa, and Australia with routes such as Réunion–Chennai–Bangkok and Réunion–Johannesburg, and maintains a codeshare on the Mauritius–Perth link with Air Mauritius. European reach is supported by codeshares enabling access to 43 destinations in 17 countries, and up to 12 weekly flights between Réunion and Paris CDG, with rail connections to Paris and provincial cities.
