As part of the settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, ASSA ABLOY agreed to divest its premium mechanical and smart residential businesses (Yale Real Living and August), and Yale brand in the U.S. and Canada. ASSA ABLOY will continue to provide the entire Yale portfolio of commercial products, however, due to the divestment, these products must be re-branded under a new name. The nearly 200-year legacy of Yale Commercial hardware will now become ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA. While the name has changed, the outstanding quality of the hardware has not.
