Badminton Ireland is the national governing body for badminton in Ireland, responsible for guiding the sport's development and participation since its founding in 1899. Based in Dublin 15, Leinster, it operates within the spectator sports sector and is a founding member of the federation that would become the Badminton World Federation. It coordinates with the four regional branches—Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster—and engages with external stakeholders such as Sport Ireland, Sport NI, the Olympic Federation of Ireland, Paralympics Ireland, and The Federation of Irish Sport. It supports coaching, development, and participation through its network across Ireland. In 2024 it formed a partnership with Talent Pathway to build a data-driven pathway for nurturing future talent. It has also received national recognition at the Irish Sport Industry Awards, including National Governing Body of the Year for 2025 and Best Use of Communications Platform in Sport in 2026.
