Beckerman & Company was founded in 1989 in suburban Scotch Plains, NJ by Louis Beckerman. Lou co-founded another agency in 1976 which grew quickly and was ultimately purchased by a national bank.

From very humble beginnings, with just one employee, Beckerman & Company has grown to a multiple office agency with over 20 employees and over 30 insurance carriers. As an insurance generalist, Beckerman & Company provides insurance coverage on everything from a simple personal tenant’s policy to risk management needs of municipalities and School Boards.

In 2014, Beckerman & Company partnered with Acrisure, now the 7th largest independent insurance agency in the country. This new and exciting partnership provided the staff at Beckerman & Company with robust resources to provide its customers and prospects with an even broader range of insurance and risk management solutions for Employee Benefits, Professional Employment Organizations (PEO’s), Captives, Voluntary Benefits and Surety. Beckerman & Company along with its Acrisure partners, now have over 120 partner agencies in 28 states with over 3,000 employees countrywide.
