The retail division consists of three chains that are located throughout South Africa and our footprint stretches as far as Namibia and Botswana. The three chains include Cape Union Mart, Old Khaki and Poetry.

Cape Union Mart has been equipping South African adventurers since 1933, and is South Africa's favourite outdoor adventure store.  Stocking everything you need for outdoor pursuits including hiking, camping, trail running, mountain biking, snow sports, travel and more - Cape Union Mart is an essential first step in every adventure.

Old Khaki was first introduced into Cape Union Mart stores in 1999, and in 2005 the first standalone Old Khaki store was launched. Old Khaki is about unrestricted living and can be best described as youthful, edgy and fun.

Poetry was introduced into Cape Union Mart stores in 2005, and in 2008 the first standalone Poetry store was opened. Poetry sells a wide range of merchandise with a focus on women’s apparel and accessories. In addition, Poetry also sells small furniture, home furnishings, bath and body products and gifts and they take particular pride in finding those unique, one-of-a-kind items that make the store unique.
