The Center for Puppetry Arts is a mid-sized performing arts organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to the art of puppetry. Since its founding in 1978, it has offered performances, curriculum-based workshops, hands-on museum galleries, and digital learning and outreach programs that educate and entertain audiences of all ages. Its mission is to inspire imagination, education, and community through puppetry. In recent years the organization has expanded its programs and collaborations, including partnerships with IKEA Atlanta to refresh its Education Floor and with the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum to tell shared stories. Leadership updates have accompanied these changes, with Lois Reitzes joining the Board of Directors and Jason Hines assuming a co-artistic director role. The center also launched a new exhibit, Down in Fraggle Rock, in 2024, reflecting continued audience engagement.
