The CHT Group is a medium-sized global chemical manufacturer focused on sustainable specialty chemicals. It traces its origins to 1953 with the founding of CHT R. Beitlich GmbH in Tübingen and has since grown into a worldwide group supplying function generators, auxiliaries, and additives for various industrial processes. The company is headquartered in Tübingen, Germany, where its head office and centers of competence are located; its dye range is developed, produced, and marketed by the Swiss subsidiary CHT Switzerland AG in Montlingen. The group employs approximately 2,500 people across 27 companies and sales agencies, with products sold in more than 120 countries. Its offerings are organized into Textile Solutions (dyes and auxiliaries for the textile value chain), Industrial Solutions (smart specialty silicones, paper and pulp technologies, high-performance bonding and mold-making materials, care ingredients for home, car, and personal care, and washing solutions for textile care and plastics recycling), and Functional Chemicals (high-performance chemical additives for paints, coatings, construction, adhesives, leather, agrochemicals, mining, and release agents). In 2026, the group was recognized as Best Managed Company 2026, with CEO Eva Baumann accepting the award.
