[About Us] What We Do: Our Work is “in the bones” of Thousands of Buildings Nationwide Classic Engineering provides structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering for new construction and renovation of “classic” buildings. Our services include building modeling and preparation of construction documents in Revit and AutoCad. Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Classic Engineering has been involved in a number of projects changing the city skyline over the past two decades. Throughout Michigan, the Midwest and around the country, Classic Engineering’s work on thousands of projects over 20 years can be found “in the bones” of all categories of buildings. Hotels, health care facilities, commercial and residential construction, multi-family, senior and independent-living projects, educational, government and church buildings are in our portfolio of work. In March of 1998, Classic Engineering, LLC was founded under the leadership and entrepreneurial spirit of Douglas W. Huyser, PE. Over the course of several months, Huyser merged his experience in operating and managing professional engineering teams and industry relationships, with a new and talented staff of accomplished professionals. With expertise in Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Classic has become a versatile company doing work throughout the country.
