Community-Word Project (CWP) is a New York City based arts-in-education organization with a mission to facilitate culturally responsive, multidisciplinary art programs for students, Teaching Artists, and communities to develop and amplify their voices and creative skills.

Community-Word Project believes that all children have the right to a learning environment that teaches them not what to think, but how to think. We achieve this goal through multi-disciplinary arts residencies, a comprehensive teaching artist training program, and professional development for classroom teachers and afterschool leaders.
