Cooper Engineering Company, Inc. is a civil engineering consulting firm based in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.  Founded in 1950 as Robert G. Cooper & Associates, the firm was established to serve both public and private clients.  After serving the City of Rice Lake as an employee for 4 years, Robert Cooper created a solid client base capable of sustaining the firm and meeting the engineering needs for the City of Rice Lake.  Over the past 60 years, the name of our firm has been modified to fit the partners of the time.  Former company names include Cooper Peabody Engineer Architect, Cooper Spangler & Associates, and most recently Cooper Engineering Company, Inc.  The name Cooper has been our unwavering namesake throughout our time of existence.  The current name, Cooper Engineering Company, Inc., has remained unchanged for 44 years and counting.

In the past, Cooper Engineering focused predominantly on municipal, building, and wastewater projects.  As the company grew, our service areas expanded to include other types of projects such as transportation, aviation, water resources, environmental, and survey.  Today we offer a full slate of engineering and related services, but the majority of our projects are municipal and transportation related.  Cooper Engineering is listed on the WisDOT Roster of Eligible Engineering Consultants.  Cooper Engineering is a team of professionals dedicated to getting the client’s project completed in a timely manner and within the client’s budget.
