SLE builds on metal powder bed-based laser additive manufacturing to deposit equiaxed, directionally solidified, and single-crystal materials, producing fully dense, crack-free turbine engine hot-section components and offering capabilities beyond existing metal additive techniques. The company announced plans to deliver commercial systems in 2015, and in 2016 it was recognized as a top five finalist in the Atlanta Metro Export Challenge. The workforce is 11-50 employees.
