Eddie Russo, a native of Massachusetts, started his career in upstate New York with the cover band Soul Incorporated. After a short time in the U.S. Army playing trombone with military bands, he joined Blue Magic in California, a funk sounding show band signed to Liberty Records and MCA Publishers. He’s toured nationally with the Buddy Miles Band, D.D. Smith and Taxi, the Fabulous Flippers (‘Harlem Shuffle’), and the regrouped Spiral Starecase (‘I Love You More Today Than Yesterday’). Eddie has also played in several ballroom big bands, including the Jan Garber Orchestra out of Chicago. Additionally, he formed his own swing band performing in casinos, hotels, and cruise lines. His studio accomplishments includes three albums, “A Mandolin Christmas”, “Kickin’ Back with Eddie – The Classic Sounds of Swing”, “La Storia II”, and Eddie's Trombone Portraits". Eddie currently performs at private and public events in Council Bluffs, IA.
