FIELDWORK DESIGN GROUP is a Chicago-based, WBE-certified, landscape architecture and urban design office. On every project, we provide high quality design, attention to detail, and technical expertise to deliver the best result for the client. WE ARE EXPERIENCED. Our experience spans a variety of project sectors and sizes including: - Affordable/Supportive Housing Developments - Commercial Parking and Streetscapes - School, Park and Hospital Campuses - High-End Residential Projects We are familiar with the LEED and Sustainable Sites Initiative certification processes. Whether a project is seeking certification or not, we look for opportunities to implement the best storm water management strategies, to provide connectivity for all modes of transportation - biking, walking, and public transit - and to use durable, high-performing materials to create beautiful landscapes. WE ARE GOOD LISTENERS. Clients and potential users of a landscape hold insight that can only be discovered through good listening. We strive to ask the right questions in an effort to reveal the less obvious needs that a well-designed site might meet. WE EVEN LISTEN TO THE SITE. Every site has its own unique inherent characteristics. Through a rigorous process of research, site visits, and conversation, we learn about the site with the goal of developing a culture-rich, site-specific design solution. WE ARE COLLABORATORS. Our best work is achieved through enthusiastic collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. Our role varies based on project needs and client requests, but on every project, we build on the design intent established by/with our collaborators while keeping the big picture in mind.
