Full Picture Justice prevents death penalty sentences, in pursuit of real justice. And we power the movement to abolish the death penalty entirely, in service to a genuinely safer society.

We work with legal defense teams to investigate and share the full stories of those facing death sentences – which stops the executions that overwhelmingly target the least advantaged among us. Since pioneering this work in 2007, we have been extremely effective at mitigating death sentences by centering individuals being sentenced, helping judges and juries to see their humanity, circumstance and unique strengths and frailties, not just their crimes. 

Our high impact programs strengthen children, families and communities impacted by death prosecutions, and break cycles of retribution and generational trauma.
