Futureforms is a San Francisco-based art and design studio that has been active since 2005, led by founders Jason Kelly Johnson and Nataly Gattegno. The firm works at the intersection of art, design, public space, performance, and fabrication technologies, producing a range of objects and installations including furniture, lighting fixtures, art pavilions, sculptural shade canopies, and large-scale urban works. Its projects explore how responsive building systems and robotics can be integrated into artistic practice, aimed at creating engaging experiences in public and architectural contexts. In addition to its studio work, Futureforms expanded into virtual space with the launch of its Futureforms VR Gallery in early 2022, reflecting an ongoing interest in immersive presentation of its experimental projects.
