Insights

Market Expansion Gelesis has demonstrated strong growth in the weight management sector, with a significant increase in new members and units sold, indicating a substantial market demand. This presents an opportunity to expand sales efforts by targeting healthcare providers and retail channels interested in innovative, FDA-cleared weight management solutions.

OTC Transition The company's pursuit of FDA approval to reclassify Plenity as an over-the-counter product could dramatically broaden its accessibility. Sales teams should focus on positioning Plenity within retail and pharmacy partnerships to capitalize on increased consumer demand and convenience.

International Growth Gelesis' strategic investments and recent stake in Greece's ACS highlight an interest in international markets. Business development efforts can explore partnerships and distribution channels across Europe and beyond to leverage its trusted, natural-based therapeutic platform.

Product Diversification The company's pipeline includes therapies targeting metabolic conditions like Type 2 Diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, presenting cross-selling opportunities for health and wellness providers, clinics, and specialty pharmacies seeking comprehensive metabolic health solutions.

Data-Driven Selling With its robust clinical data demonstrating safety and efficacy, Gelesis' products are positioned favorably for strategic sales collaborations with healthcare professionals and insurers. Emphasizing proven results can help drive adoption and secure favorable reimbursement arrangements.

Architecture and PlanningTexas, United States51-200 Employees

Established in 1983 in Lufkin, Texas, Goodwin-Lasiter, Inc., began operations with a four-person crew. Together, they steadily grew and began to build a solid reputation in East Texas for providing high-quality engineering, architectural, and surveying services.

In 2001, Goodwin-Lasiter, Inc. partnered with the firm Scott & Strong Architects to further increase their business capabilities. Building on an already successful foundation, the partnership provided an increase in services and high-quality project completion throughout East Texas. This success expanded further than the Lufkin office and ultimately led to the development of a second office in College Station.

Goodwin-Lasiter, Inc. acquired Raymond Survey and Mapping in 2010. Raymond Survey and Mapping has been providing land surveying services in the Central Texas area since 2006.

The firm has provided service on a broad range of projects for both public and private concerns. This work has included educational, public, commercial and retail building, athletic facilities, industrial, planning, parks, structural systems, public works, and surveying. The firm has served clients on projects in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Virginia.

Because of steady growth and success, GLS now has five locations across the state of Texas including Lufkin, Bryan, Tyler, Waco and Groesbeck.
