GreatRange is a communications, branding and web development firm based in Saranac Lake, the heart of New York's Adirondack Mountains. Recently, GreatRange successfully created a marketing plan for the Saranac Lake Community Store rebranding it as The Village Mercantile, which included the debut of a new brand, a social media and marketing strategy and the launch of an e-commerce enabled website. Additionally, GreatRange has designed websites for CFES Brilliant Pathways, Selendy & Gay, PLLC and others. We’ve also helped clients such as Nori’s Village Market, Cycle Adirondacks, Northern Power & Light, Franklin County Economic Development develop brands and messages in addition to print and electronic publications. Our core team consists of GreatRange Partners and Saranac Lake residents Doug Haney, Ken Aaron and Kelly and Mark Hofschneider. Kelly, who was the art director for Adirondack Life magazine for 12 years, will lead the graphic design work on this project. Mark is a brand developer, interactive telecommunications engineer, designer and manager with 22 years’ experience in the development, strategy and production of interactive media, applications and wireless content. Ken is a talented writer and editor; he was a reporter for more than a decade and has produced publications for The Nature Conservancy, The Wild Center and Paul Smith’s College, among many other places. And Doug is an expert project manager, who after 12 years of communications management with the U.S. Ski Team has led brand development and event execution of Cycle Adirondacks, an award-winning bicycle tourism company.
