OUR HISTORY
Greene’s Jewelers, Inc. is a family owned and operated retail jewelry store, located in downtown Rome since November 1948. Our reputation depends on the service we perform, the quality of our merchandise and our integrity. We stand out because of our family values and our personal approach to the jewelry business. To us, quality jewelry and the many intricacies associated with our business is not a mystery and we are always happy to share our experience and knowledge with our customers. We have two full-time Graduate Gemologists, trained by the Gemological Institute of America and two Registered Jewelers, trained by the American Gem Society. We have been members of the AGS since 1970 and uphold the strict qualifications of honesty and integrity that AGS membership demands.

OUR SERVICES
Greene’s Jewelers performs a variety of services ranging from simply changing watch batteries to executing complex jewelry designs. We have designers on staff and we can design and custom-make a variety of jewelry. Our customers are always assured a collection of the unusual and exclusive. We also have a watchmaker on staff that can repair most makes of watches from antique styles to the newer models.

OUR STAFF
The staff of Greene’s Jewelers adheres to the old-fashioned philosophy of serving the customer that is characteristic of a family-owned business. We extend many services to our customers before and after their purchase. We strive to give each purchase our personal touch and we want our customers to experience our personal service that insures return visits. Greene’s Jewelers founder, P. H. Greene, Sr., set the stage for his son George and his wife Thelma Tate Greene to open this store and they owned it together until they turned it over to their daughters, Joyce Greene Manning and Sarah Greene Brock in 1990. Joyce’s daughter, Elaine Manning Abercrombie joined the staff in 1984 and made Greene’s Jewelers four generations old.
