Hart District Council is a local government authority based in Fleet, Hampshire. It was formed in 1974 from the merger of the Fleet Urban District Council and Hartley Wintney Rural District Council, and it serves about 89,000 residents in around 36,500 households. The district sits in the north-east corner of Hampshire, combining rural countryside with several towns and a rich architectural heritage—approximately 1,000 listed buildings and 32 conservation areas. 
Hart District Council undertakes public-service and infrastructure initiatives, including a leisure facility completed in 2017 to replace an aging centre. In 2024 it introduced low-carbon biofuel for bin trucks and launched public fast chargers to support low-emission transportation. In 2025 it participated in Rural Crime Action Week to bolster enforcement against fly-tipping and environmental crime.
