In 2008 Isaac Regional Council was formed through an amalgamation of three Shire Councils being Broadsound, Belyando and Nebo. Today, we employ around 410 staff managing a region of approximately 58,000 square kilometres. We operate from eight locations throughout the region, spanning from the coalfields to the coast, and offer a wide range of exciting, family-friendly career opportunities for school leavers, professionals and tradespeople. It also includes the smaller communities of Carmila, Clairview, Clarke Creek, Greenhill, Ilbilbie, Kilcummin, Mackenzie River, Mistake Creek and Valkyrie.
