We Are The Swedish Leather Boot Maker! – A family company rich in heritage and knowledge about footwear. We have been making quality footwear for almost 75 years, for four straight generations. We are passionate about shoes. We love quality. We love the way our products get better with age. We think sustainable fashion is about footwear that continues to be relevant – that can be worn for years.

We strongly believe in genuine craftsmanship with modern technology. This is how we are turning our old shoemaking traditions into new ones. Making our history our future. There is a lifetime of experience in every pair we make.

Walking carefully on Mother Nature means minimizing the ecological footprint. Over the last ten years more than 50 of our models have been certified with the EU Ecolabel, the official European Eco-label. This is our proof of concept.

Our shoes are sold in over 20 countries and every year, 400,000 pairs are sold under the Kavat trademark. Most of them are manufactured in our own factory in Travnik, Bosnia Herzegovina. We have showrooms in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Malmö and Kumla, Sweden, and in Düsseldorf, Germany. Our headquarters are located in Kumla, Sweden.

We operate our own Kavat stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö and the Kavat Outlet store in Kumla. Our Store interior is awarded Retail Concept of the Year, at Habit Fashion Awards, Stockholm, November 2017.
