LEAD STL (formerly Cultural Leadership) is a St. Louis–based nonprofit youth development organization with over 20 years of experience empowering young people to lead social change.

Through immersive programs focused on identity, empathy, civic engagement, and advocacy, we equip middle school through college-aged youth to become thoughtful, courageous leaders.

Originally rooted in building understanding between Black and Jewish students, LEAD STL has grown into a broader platform welcoming students of all backgrounds. We strive to build a more just and equitable region by helping young leaders bridge divides and drive systemic change.

To date, we've graduated more than 700 alumni—community organizers, educators, public officials, and “troublemakers of the best kind”—who continue to make an impact across the country.

We are committed to accessibility and offer a sliding scale tuition model to ensure every student can participate.
