Welcome to Little Village Playhouse. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt not for profit corporation based in Pleasantville, New York. At LVP, we endeavor to create a safe environment where students feel free to explore the artistic process and express themselves without fear of ridicule. We encourage thinking skills rather than rote memorization and spoon-fed direction. We believe that every child has an intellectual and imaginative voice that should be respected and heard. It's our hope that no matter where these students go in life, they come away from LVP with an understanding of the world of theatre, a stronger sense of themselves, an ability to revel in their individuality, and a willingness to work well with others. LVP is not about putting on glitzy shows with casts of hundreds. We are about working with kids on challenging, often daring, sometimes new, but always fun works of theatre. We believe kids can create art...and should. At LVP, they do.
