Max Fordham is the only practice to be crowned CIBSE Building Performance Champion three times (2025, 2022 and 2020), were crowned CIBSE Consultancy of the Year in 2022, and were named ACE Inclusion & Diversity Champion in 2017.

Max Fordham’s projects have won the RIBA Stirling Prize three times:
- 2010 for MAXXI with Zaha Hadid
- 2016 for Newport Street Gallery with Caruso St John
- 2022 for Magdalene College New Library with Niall McLaughlin Architects
