Misr Technology Services (MTS) is an Egyptian joint-stock information services company headquartered at 29 Farid Street, Heliopoli, Cairo, with a website at https://mts-egy.com. It functions as the technical arm of the Ministry of Finance in the area of customs and its relationship with taxes. The shareholder base comprises the Ministry of Finance, the Egyptian Company for Management of Financial Facilities (eFinance), the National Investment Bank, the Egyptian Company for Investment Projects, and Amiral Management Corporation. MTS was awarded a contract with the Ministry of Finance to enhance the current trade across borders system in Egypt using the Single Window concept, under the NAFEZA project, which automates and orchestrates import/export/transit cargo clearance from cargo arrival to clearance, with an extension to implement Advance Cargo Information to control the import process prior to loading shipments. The NAFEZA system provides a single point for the trade community to submit data to Customs through an online portal and serves as the primary communication interface with government authorities, supported by a network of Logistic Services Centers established by MTS at ports, and the company employs 501-1000 people.
