Expansion Opportunity MLA Engineering recently expanded offices to Seattle, WA, signaling growth and capacity for new projects beyond its existing markets. This indicates an openness to regional diversification and potential partnerships in larger or more complex installations within the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Specialized Portfolio The firm focuses on structural design for buildings, zoos and aquariums, entertainment facilities, and specialty structures. This niche suggests potential cross-sell opportunities with ambitious entertainment venues, cultural institutions, and wildlife parks seeking innovative, resourceful engineering solutions.

Boutique Scale Benefit With a small team (2-10 employees) and a flexible, creative culture, MLA can partner on selective, high-value projects requiring customized attention, design iterations, and rapid turnarounds—ideal for clients seeking boutique engineering services within larger procurement ecosystems.

Financial Capacity Revenue is reported in the range of one to ten million dollars, indicating modest but solid project budgets. Target clients with mid-size scopes or phased capital programs that align with MLA’s capacity to deliver high-quality structural design without competing with much larger firms.

Geographic and Tech Readiness Recent use of modern tech stacks and online platforms (Squarespace, Google libraries, Microsoft 365) paired with a Seattle office move suggests readiness for digital collaboration and multi-site project management. This supports outreach to clients with distributed teams and need for streamlined, cloud-based collaboration on complex structural projects.
