Formed in 1989, Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP) is a private, nonprofit organization that develops, acquires and rehabilitates quality apartments and homes in Montgomery County, Md., and the region, MHP owns and manages more than 2,100 affordable rental homes in Silver Spring, Takoma Park, Wheaton, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Hyattsville and the District of Columbia. MHP is committed to housing people, empowering families, and strengthening neighborhoods. Its holistic approach to housing includes providing affordable rents; developing community life programs to assist residents and their families; and coordinating outreach to residents, civic organizations and small businesses in neighborhoods where affordable housing is located. MHP is a chartered member of NeighborWorks America.
