National Nurses United, with more than 225,000 members nationwide, is the largest union and professional organization of direct-care registered nurses in the United States and a strong, progressive voice for nurses, patients, and health care workers around the world. NNU's executive director is Bonnie Castillo, RN and its presidents are RNs Deborah Burger, Nancy Hagans, Jean Ross, and Zenei Triunfo-Cortez.
