NetSet was a regional Internet Service Provider (ISP) that provided on-demand dial-up Internet, ISDN access, and dedicated Internet connectivity.

NetSet eventually expanded its portfolio to offer a broader range of services and features -- which rapidly grew from basic access to eventually provide data center collocation, virtual servers (a precursor to modern-day Cloud/IaaS/PaaS), web design and digital advertising, web marketing, and domain registrar functions.

When NetSet was conceived, developed, and then launched in late 1994, the consumer and residential Internet access industry was in its infancy. And NetSet lead the curve while competing and thriving among major national providers like Mindspring, CompuServe, and AOL.  NetSet consistently deployed the latest Internet access technologies and had a wide array of access types, features, and services.  NetSet was an early provider of DSL connectivity throughout Central Ohio with partnerships that allowed for nationwide DSL deployment.

NetSet also provided dedicated high-speed connectivity and was among the very few multi-homed ISPs in Central Ohio with its own ASN & private IP space allocated from ARIN.  NetSet was multi-homed with three Tier 1 providers at the time: UUNet, Sprint, and Global Crossing. This arrangement provided outstanding accessibility and robust network connectivity and optimized routing.  NetSet's connectivity was exemplary with an outstanding record for uptime and reliability.

NetSet also provided shared office and shared working spaces to businesses who needed their mobile and traveling workers to have access to fast internet yet be in a traditional office setting.

Nearly 4 years after its inception, NetSet was sold to investors in 1998 for an eye-popping price at the time and at the height of the "dot-com" era. NetSet was later acquired in 2004 by another ISP and has since discontinued operating under the vision, brand, and leadership of its original founders.
