Powermetrix, founded in 1994 and based in Knoxville, Tennessee, develops testing solutions for the power and energy sector for manufacturing, laboratory, and field use. As a small company, it serves electric utilities worldwide, helping protect revenue and ensure billing accuracy. The PowerMaster line, introduced in 2008, is aimed at field meter site testing with precise measurements, straightforward operation, and a five-year warranty.

The PowerMaster 7 Series is database-driven and ships with PC software to generate reports and merge data with existing utility databases. In 2011 the 4 Series Automated Meter Tester followed, designed to be rugged and lightweight for testing a wide range of ANSI meters. Powermetrix expanded into laboratory offerings in 2012 with the 8300 Series Reference Standard and the 8900 Series Lab Calibration System, which verify and adjust PowerMaster analyzers and probes.
