Like many successful companies, Realtec began as a search for something better. To assemble a strong nucleus of highly-educated, experienced commercial specialists who could serve the entire Northern Colorado market, was a vision of the founder, Steve Stansfield. This vision was shared by other experienced brokers who would later join the company.

In an effort to adequately serve Colorado's Front Range, Realtec has five offices comprised of thirty-one brokers and an administrative, marketing, and support staff.

Realtec was originated in 1983 as a real estate development company, and in 1989, transitioned from development activities to a full-service commercial real estate brokerage company. 

This team of seasoned professionals, Realtec has maintained its position as the dominant force in the Northern Colorado marketplace. Since its inception, Realtec enlists only the best and brightest of commercial real estate practitioners. Attesting to the emphasis placed upon achieving the highest standards of professional education, Realtec currently has six (6) Society of Industrial and Office Realtor (SIOR) designees and ten (10) Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designees.

Realtec's success can be attributed to many factors, but most importantly:
