For three generations the Schaeffer family has been dedicated to the mission of providing the people of the Delaware Valley with quality- built, affordably priced new homes. Thomas Schaeffer Sr. learned the craft of woodworking in the Army in WWII, and afterwards he immediately put his new skills to work in the homebuilding industry. The second generation was led by Thomas “Tim” Schaeffer Jr. Tim worked with his father and many other builders throughout the region, polishing his craft and building custom homes in Southern New Jersey. Tim eventually founded Tim Schaeffer Communities in 1989. The building tradition passed to Tim’s son, Jason Thomas Schaeffer, who worked his way through the trades while attending high school, college and graduate business school. Along with the rest of the Family, Jason continues the tradition as President of Schaeffer Homes.
