All the profit we make is used for the benefit of our policyholders.

Established in 1862 as the City of Glasgow Friendly Society, we have over 150 years’ worth of experience to offer and have seen a large number of changes, not only the financial services market but indeed technologically. In 1968 we purchased a computer system roughly the size of a small living room, it could store 256 kilobytes of data, which is now roughly the same size as the corner of a photo taken on a phone camera. Of course it is not still in use today. In 1992, following the transfer of business from a Scottish-based friendly society, we adopted the name Scottish Friendly Assurance. 

Today, Scottish Friendly is still based in Glasgow, and is a dynamic financial services group dedicated to the efficient provision of a wide range of financial products and services. Scottish Friendly Assurance Society Limited is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority and is a member of ABI and AFM.
