At Sharing Excess, we believe that good food should never go to waste.
Every year in America, billions of meals are thrown away while millions of people go hungry. We’re here to change that. By partnering with grocery stores, wholesalers, farmers, and other food producers, we recover and redirect surplus food to communities who need it most.

What started in 2018 as a college project has become one of the fastest-growing food rescue organizations in America. Today, we distribute nearly 2 million pounds of food each week, 100 million pounds annually, through a national network of food banks and community partners—making food recovery smarter, faster, and more impactful than ever before.

data-driven logistics, and a team of problem-solvers who lead with heart, we’re building a future where food is shared—not wasted.
