Tabus Nine Computing was founded in 2011 to create mobile applications, as well as perform artificial intelligence research, by Austin Mueller and Ben Oztalay. Both founders graduated from Roeper High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI. They now attend the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, in the College of Engineering. Austin, an academic junior in his second year, is majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. Ben, an academic sophomore in his first year, is also majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. Austin Mueller and Ben Oztalay have 10 years of combined experience writing software in several languages, including C, C++, Assembly, Python, and Java. However, their interests and abilities expand beyond software engineering. Both have experience with hardware in areas such as PCB layout, FPGA development, microcontroller development, and analog electronics. Research topics at Tabus Nine Computing range from evolutionary intelligence simulation, network topology and protocols, and vehicle-to-vehicle technology. Great care is taken at Tabus Nine Computing to not only to develop mobile applications that work well, but mobile applications that are tuned for the best user experience. User interfaces and the application’s aesthetics are the top priority through the entire development process. Tabus Nine Computing works to create a code base that’s clean and maintainable. While it initially takes longer to write code of this quality, more time is saved in the long run.
