The African American Policy Forum is a New York City–based think tank founded in 1996 that aims to connect scholarly research with public discussions on inequality, discrimination, and injustice. It began as a media-monitoring information clearinghouse and seeks to link academic scholars, activists, and policymakers to broaden and deepen conversations about equity across diverse communities. With a focus on women's rights and gender justice in the context of racial justice, the organization emphasizes intersecting forms of discrimination and highlights perspectives that are often marginalized in mainstream discourse. 

Its work aims to advance racial justice, gender equality, and the indivisibility of human rights within the United States and beyond. In 2026, AAPF partnered with Black Heritage Academy to support a Liberation Calendar for Black History Month, illustrating ongoing collaboration with allied groups.
