CRPP is a national research and public policy think tank operating across six disciplines, including market, social, and public policy research, as well as public opinion, political, and direct democracy research. Founded in 1979 and based in Chester, Vermont, the organization offers a broad set of research methods, ranging from telephone and in-person interviews to mail and web-based surveys and focus group facilitation. It has worked with government agencies, utilities and health care organizations, government relations and public affairs professionals, corporations, non-profits, and institutions of higher education to measure public opinion. The work is characterized by independence, objectivity, and accuracy.

CRPP’s research supports strategic planning, program evaluations, feasibility studies, community needs assessments, and satisfaction surveys conducted on behalf of clients. Since its founding, CRPP has conducted projects across all 50 states and in Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America, Puerto Rico, and Africa.
